I have a Dell laptop with fingerprint reader inbuilt. Dell has quietly released a single installer that takes care of installing all the sub-components correctly, in the correct order thanks Mark for pointing this out.

The dell comes with a fingerprint device driver and firmware. Than just logging in Windows 10 natively support this series. So far I haven't found any supporting documents that the FP reader is working under Linux.
